"Valley of Peace" studies colleagues' experience
On October 20-24, a group of 10 Tajik NGOs - members of the "Valley of Peace" visited Osh to study the experience of their Kyrgyz counterparts - representatives of well known NGOs.
Trainings on social policy and public relations were conducted by trainers from Bishkek Center for Public Technologies as part of Professional Improvement program for the network members.
These events were aimed at improving the efficiency of the network in the current conditions in Ferghana Valley and formed the basis for improving the Development Strategy of "Valley of Peace" NGO network. This document will be used for increasing the public awareness about the "Valley of Peace" in the region and improve the quality of coordination projects conducted by the network members.
Ferghana Valley is our common home
Starting September 1, NGO network "Valley of Peace" started implementing a consolidated project, as part of which mini-trainings will be organized for the students in 50 schools in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, together with best wall newspaper contests and events aimed at teaching the students on the basics of tolerance, leadership and non-violent methods of conflict resolution.
The aim of this project is to contribute to distribution and strengthening friendship, cooperation and tolerance in Ferghana Valley.
"Valley of Peace" organized an educational camp for children
On August 23-28, "Valley of Peace" NGO network organized a summer education camp for 70 children from trans-border districts of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. For several days, "Zukhal" camp on the shores of Kayrakkum reservoir housed senior school students from the two countries, who received training on conflict management, tolerance and other pressing issues of these areas, in addition to an exciting cultural and educational program.

A training for "Valley of Peace" network member organizations took part in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, on June 7-8. The participants were trained to design project proposals. The new knowledge is expected to help network members to implement joint partnership projects.

The General Assembly of "Valley of Peace" member organizations took part in Osh on June 9. At this meeting, the partners discussed current issues related to mutual cooperation and created a work plan for the near future. Also, new organizations were admitted to the network.

"Assistance to Cross-Border Cooperation in the Ferghana Valley III
Through the operations of the Central Asian Partnership Group (CAPG), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the Danish Refugee Council, as well as in cooperation with the NGO Network of the Ferghana Valley Dolina Mira, we would like to announce the start of the third grant competition under the program "Assistance to Cross-Border Cooperation in the Ferghana Valley III." The grant program is being financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and the International Organization for Migration
